Jocelyn Velestuk’s passion for soil conservation comes from growing up on the family farm where her father was one of the first farmers in the area to adopt zero-till. She completed her M.Sc. in Soil Fertility at the University of Saskatchewan in 2012 with the goal to learn more so that she could help farming move toward more sustainable practices. She farms near Broadview with her husband, daughter and in-laws, and also works as a Professional Agronomy Consultant. Jocelyn joined the SSCA Board in 2016 in the hope that she could provide some knowledge, expertise and unique views on soil conservation and she is currently serving as President.
